Pressure Calculation Basics

A document calculates pressure using the equation P=F/A, where P is pressure in Pa, F is a force of 424 N, and A is an area of 10 m2, yielding a result of 42 Pa. Pressure is defined as the magnitude of force distributed over a surface, and can arise from various sources like the weight of a gas (aerostatic pressure) or liquid (hydrostatic pressure), or sound waves (acoustic pressure).

Law:
The pressure which is exerted by force on a specific area of a surface.

Pressure is a physical quantity which describes the magnitude of a force distributed on the surface of an
object. We can distinguish many types of pressure due to the source of its origin.
For example:

Aerostatic pressure - the pressure inside the gas arising from its own weight.
Hydrostatic pressure - analogous to the aerostatic pressure, but in this case, exerted by liquids.
Acoustic pressure - deviation from the average value of atmospheric pressure, occurring during the
propagation of an acoustic wave in it.
