Title The Lottery Winner By Rosemary Border

Summary In a small town an old woman called


Emma Carter and who doesn't have much money
wants to visit her children in Australia. One day,
Emma is attacked and her bag is stolen by a
young man called Jason Williams. In her bag
there are two pounds and seventy four pence and
a lottery ticket. The ticket that Jason has stolen is
the winning ticket. Jason becomes rich thanks to
the ticket but when he goes on television, Emma
recognizes Jason and the lottery ticket. Jason is
arrested and he takes a lawyer. Emma takes a
lawyer too but lawyers are expensive and day
after day nobody wins the proceeding. Will
someone receive the money?

Advantages or
The ideas of this story in my opinion is it’s a detective
ideas stories and it is an interesting story. But the end is
unfair so it shows that ‘kill not the goose that lays the
golden egg’ that means if you greedy in something that
is not yours or more than your ability you will get
nothing.
