Network Setting Document
Steps for Direct Connect from the Computer:
For this, you will need to do some setups in your computer as well as in the
controller for the network to connect.
Caution: In window 10, there is a virus protection feature that will stop the simulator
from running. The virus protection feature will remove a file within the simulator
making it unusable. If this is the first time you use the computer to run the simulator,
please follow these steps below to make sure this will not happen. If you have been
using your computer to run the simulator before, then disregard this portion and move
on to the next part of the document.
1) Go to Start and type in “Virus & threat protection”
2) Click on “Virus & threat protection settings”
3) Under “Real-time protection”, It should be on right now. You need to turn it
off
Note: After that, you should be able to run the simulator. Once you run it the first
time, the computer should recognize the program and let you use it from there
onward. However, in some cases, restarting the computer or updating it will cause the
computer to reset and stop the simulator again. If that happens and you forgot to turn
it off, you need to first turn off the feature then redownload the simulator from
scratch.
