GET AN ARCHITECT, TOWARDS A MORE PROSPEROUS URBAN FUTURE
Architecture entails much more than just the construction of structures. Architects contemplate concepts
and give it shape, exploring its potential, elevating it to new heights, and finally integrating it into
construction site and the larger community. Architects are not only designers, but also problem solvers.
As an aspiring architect, having knowledge about this makes me want to develop my skills and knowledge
to be able to construct a design that makes difference to the community.
Architecture profession should be respected just like any other fields in construction. With this, I will
always quote the virtues of an architect which were written by Marcus Vitruvious Pollio
"May the Architect be high-minded; not arrogant, but faithful; Just, and easy to deal with, without
avarice; Not let his mind be occupied in receiving gifts, But let him preserve his good name with dignity"
As an architecture student, I must always read and abide the Code of Ethics so that I can fulfill my duties
effectively.
I shall respect and help conserve the systems of values and the natural, historic, and cultural heritage
of the community in which I creates architecture.
I shall promote the interest of my professional organization and do my full part of the work to enhance
the objectives and services of the organization.
As a good citizen, I shall abide by and observe the laws and regulations of the the government and
comply with the Code of Ethical Conduct and the Standards of Professional Practice I shall not solicit,
nor permit to solicit, in my name, advertisements or other support towards the cost of any publication
presenting my work.
I shall not deceive the public as to my professional competence, nor claim any professional
specialization unless supported by academic qualification, track record or relevant expertise,
professional resources available to me which will enable me to handle the work particularly requiring
such specialization and sanction, by my peers in the profession.
