10 Read the blog post. Decide if the sentences are
true (T) or false (F).
Two unusual houses
There are some very unusual houses in the world and
last year, I went to see two of them. In the UK, there’s
a very small house in a village called Conwyn. It only
has two rooms but thousands of tourists visit the house
every year. The whole house is the same size as my
bedroom! The other one I went to was Keret House.
It’s a very thin house in Warsaw in Poland. In some
places, it’s less than one metre wide! It’s a very simple
place, with only a bed, a desk, a bathroom and a very
small kitchen. Nobody lives there all the time, but
artists often stay there and they draw and paint in it.
They enjoy working there because there isn’t any
noise. There are lots of other houses like this where
artists can go and stay for free all over the world. Art-
lovers pay for these houses so artists can think about
their work. It’s a great idea because it’s unusual for
them to earn a lot of money.
1 Keret House is in the UK. __________
2 Artists come to work in Keret House. __________
3 Artists like the house because it’s small.
__________
4 Art-lovers pay to stay in Keret House. __________
5 Most artists don’t earn a lot of money. __________
