Encode VIBCODE Measurement Points

Step 1) Log in to Omnitrend as an administrator and navigate to the machine and motor where a measurement point will be encoded. Step 2) Click on the measurement point to encode, then select the VIBCODE option to view the encoding ring. Step 3) Punch the provided encoding ring according to the displayed pattern. Mount the encoded ring and stud in the measurement position on the motor. The measurement point is now encoded and ready for vibration data collection.

Step by Step Guide How To Encode A Measurement Point With VIBCODE

• Log in Omnitrend as Chief Eng or Admin


• Click on Machinery Manager

Navigate to selected machine to be encoded with VIBCODE i.e IGG Blower Set No:1 Motor No:1
Click on motor and then on the selected measurement point

Click on Meas.Data
Click on VIBCODE and then click on Show VIBCODE Ring

Insert un-encoded ring in to the Encoding Tool and punch the ring exactly according to the ring as
showed.
Now click on the measurement task and then on Add.

Next screen will come up with ‘Select Transducer for Vibscanner Standard’. Click on drop down box
• Click on the dots and select transducer ‘VIBCODE 2HZ’. Click on ‘ok’
• The correct transducer is now selected for the measurement task.
• Repeat procedure for each measurement task or use the ‘Multi Edit’ function.

• Mount the VIBCODE stud in the required measurement position on the motor as per
instructions. Insert coded ring in stud.
• Create route in Omnitrend, download to Vibscanner. Measurement is now ready to be
taken.
• Attach VIBCODE reading transducer to stud and wait until measurement is completed.
• Upload route to Omnitrend.
