Smart Street Light with IR Sensor Project

This document describes a student project to create an automatic smart street light system using an IR sensor. The system aims to reduce power consumption by turning off street lights when no vehicles are detected on the road. When an IR sensor detects a vehicle, it will send a signal to an Arduino board to turn on the lights. Once the vehicle passes, the lights will automatically turn off. The block diagram and two references for the project are provided.

AUTOMATIC SMART STREET LIGHT WITH IR SENSOR
This project discusses about the smart street light system. The main idea of this
project is to reduce the power consumption when there are no vehicle movements
on the road. The smart street light turned to be on when there are vehicles on the
road otherwise the lights will be switched off. Due to advancement of technology
things are becoming simpler and easier for everyone in the world today.
Automation plays an important role in the world and daily experience. These
automation systems are preferred over manual systems. This project work shows
automatic control of street lights as a result the power is saved to an extent by
sensing an approaching vehicle using the IR sensor and Arduino.
