EMPLOYEE LEAVE POLICY

Objective

The objective of the Leave Policy is to give provision to the employees to balance their personal as well as
professional life.

Eligibility

The Leave policy is applicable to all the regular employees of the company.

Types of leaves:

 Casual Leave
 Maternity Leave
 Paternity Leave
 Compensatory off

Guidelines for Casual Leave:

All employees are entitled to a maximum of 14 days of such leave in a calendar year. The entitlement for new
joiners will be pro-rated depending on their date of joining. The 14 days of casual leave cannot be availed for
more than 3 days at a time.

Guidelines for Maternity Leave:

Wherever applicable, maternity leave shall be governed by the provisions of Maternity Benefit Act, 1961.This
will apply to cases where an employee adopts a child also.

No employee will be entitled to Maternity Leave unless she has worked in the company for period not less than
80 days in the 12 months preceding the date of her expected delivery. An employee will be entitled to 12 weeks
maternity leave with full pay.

All reporting mangers are responsible for intimating to HR, whenever relevant, the names of employees who
have availed maternity leave.

Guidelines for Paternity Leave:

The Paternity Leave is a leave offered to expectant fathers after a child is born. Employee can avail paternity leave
up to 6 fixed days; paternity leave can be availed from 1 week before to up to 1 month of the child birth.

 Discharge paper or child DOB Certificate


 Photograph with new born child.
Compensatory Off (comp-off)

If an employee has to work on a weekend or a holiday due to the priority of the deliverables, they are offered a
compensatory off on any other workday.

Since these leaves depend on the business requirements, the grant of these leaves happens on a work basis. There is
a process for claiming and availing comp-off leave.

The employee has to claim comp off after having worked on a non-working day. This request is approved by the
immediate manager and then forwarded to HR. Once approved, a comp-off leave is granted to the employee.

Guidelines for Leave Policy: 

o Leave cannot be claimed as a matter of right. Any kind of leave can be granted or refused depending upon
the business demands. Leave of absence from work without proper approval will call for disciplinary
action. Leave meaning is to go away for something for a short period of time.

o The calendar year for leave is from April to March.

o All leave record of the employees shall be maintained by HR Department.

o An employee shall not proceed on leave until unless leave has been approved by reporting manager.
