CDSGA was founded in 1993 by Dr. Gabriel G. Uriarte and his wife Dr. Lucina P. Uriarte to offer basic education programs. In its first year, it offered preschool and elementary education. By 1994, construction began on the first building and in 1995, the school began offering high school programs as well. Due to community demand, the school started technical vocational programs in 2000 and baccalaureate programs in 2003-2004.

Learning Diary

The year 1993 marked as the beginning of history of Colegio de


San Gabriel Arcangel, Inc. (CDSGA), with its article o
incorporation being filed at the Securites and Exchange
Commission (SEC) on April 15, 1993, the school formally opened
its door with an excellent idea to initially offer basic education
program as a true expression of its purpose. Dr. Gabriel G.
Uriarte, was the founder with the inspiration of his wife, Dr. Lucina
P. Uriarte, had laid the cornerstone of the school’s existence with
its vision and mission. In June 1993, the school offered Basic
Education Programs, catering Preschool Education, and complete
Elementary level. The construction of building A’s first floor began
and finish in first trimester of 1994, in School Year 1994-1995,
preschool, elementary, and high school curriculum was offered.
Then community learners of the City of San Jose del Monte had
expressed their desire to enroll in CDSGA’s Baccalaureate
degree programs, in 2000. Then because of the challenges of
collegiate offerings the school had opted to offer Technical
Vocational Programs. Then in 2003-2004 the school opened
Baccalaureate programs.
In philosophy I learned different life saving motivation. If you want
to be successful in life you must think positively because I believe
in a saying that negative thinking can’t make a positive life . To
be successful in your goal in life you must have motivation to fuel
your self with positivity to continue pushing and strong will to have
the ability to do it.
