MACHINERY SAFETY INSPECTION CHECKLIST

This checklist should be used in daily formal inspections of machinery and equipment, which will
be conducted by competent personnel assigned to the task.

References to ‘Safety Devices’ are intended to include Fixed Guards, Interlock Guards, and
Electronic Protection Devices such as Light Curtains.

Each item should be marked with a tick, cross or N/A to indicate that the item has been checked.

Actions to correct all significant issues should be detailed by line managers.

Mechanical Hazards
1. Are there Safety Devices preventing access to all mechanical hazards
Are all Safety Devices effective? ie. Do they prevent hands, arms, and other body
