III. PROCEDURES
A. Preparatory Activities Lead the class in singing the song “The water song”
Let them watch the song through your laptop.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ex5hGWrYrQY
B. Motivation In the next activity, match each statement with the pictures
below by writing the correct letter in your science notebook.
Answers can be repeated.
(Please see Attachment A)
a. It contains plenty of salt that is why it is salty.
b. It is safe source of drinking water.
c. It is also called surface water.
d. It is found in rivers and lakes.
e. It is considered the cleanest source of water.
C. Activity Divide the class into 2 groups.
Each group will have 1 leader and also they will have
shape and shape. In the board, you will answer the
statement. You will put If the statement is correct and
if the statement is wrong.
1. Water comes from open and closed source.
2. Seawater is the habitat of aquatic plants and animals.
3. Water plays a vital role in the survival of all living
things.
4. Groundwater comes from the water that seeps into the
ground.
5. Freshwater in rivers, lakes, and springs is not for
recreation.
6. Rivers, lakes, creeks and ponds are example of
freshwater.
7. Seawater contains plenty of salt that is why it is called
“hard” water.
8. Groundwater is not an important component in many
industrial processes.
9. Freshwater is used for drinking, cleaning, washing,
Bathing and other household uses.
10. Groundwater is the cleanest water and contains
plenty of dissolved minerals which the human body
needs.
D. Analysis Ask the following questions:
1. What can you see on the picture?
2. Where this water came from?
3. What kind of water is this?
E. Abstraction Discuss where the water comes from.
Discuss the 3 different main sources of water.
Discuss Surface water, Freshwater and
Groundwater.
Example and uses.
Discuss of how important water in our daily
activities.
F. Application Identify the uses of water from different sources as shown
in the table. Choose your answer from the box and write it
in your science notebook.
For drinking
Needed for plants to grow recreation
Transportation
Washing clothes
Watering plants
Habitat for marine animals
Cooking food
cleaning
(pleased see attached B)
G. Generalization Is it important for us to know how important the
water are? ( Ans. Yes)
Can you different the water? and how you’re going
to use it? (Ans. Yes)
What are the 3 different main sources of water?
(Seawater, freshwater and groundwater)
H. Evaluation (pleased see attached C)
I. Additional activities for I will make aquatic ecosystem that have
situational. (No Science (freshwater, groundwater & seawater)
Lab.) More creative so that they will know and what
importance the water is.
(pleased see attached D)
J. Additional activities for Due to absenteeism, I will make sure that they will not
situational. (Absenteeism) going to absent by giving them prizes, they will learn but at
the same time they will enjoy.
