As part of the registration process you will be asked to review the information
the trainee has provided about your job title and your relationship to them.
The relationship field determines your PER sign-off rights and there are four
options. Hovering on the icon tells you more about each of them.
1. IFAC qualified line manager - you're a qualified accountant and you're the
trainee's direct line manager. You can sign-off both objectives and time.
2. Non IFAC qualified line manager - you're the trainee's direct line manager
but you’re not a qualified accountant. You can sign-off time only.
3. IFAC qualified internal supervisor - you're a qualified
accountant who works for the same organisation as the trainee,
but you're not their direct line manager. After consultation with the trainee's
line manager you can sign-off performance objectives and time.
4. IFAC qualified external supervisor - you're a qualified accountant
but you're not an employee of the same organisation as the trainee - you
may be an external auditor or consultant. After consultation with the trainee's
line manager you can sign-off performance objectives only.

Your trainee will have chosen a relationship status when inviting you however you
can amend it to a more suitable option if needed.
Once you’re happy with your job title and relationship status click “Confirm and
link”.

Now that you have linked to your trainee’s account they will be able to send you
performance objectives or time claims to sign-off. You’ll receive an email notification
when you’ve been sent something to review.
You can click ‘View trainee’ to access their records. Any additional trainees you link to will
then be added to your supervisor dashboard. You’ll also see what has been submitted to
you and what sign-off rights you have as it may be different for other trainees.
If you’re a member of a professional accountancy body, you can also add this information.
