1.
Why do you think women are discriminated across religions despite a “show-off” of their
faithfulness and commitment aside from the reason that it’s what their religions dictate?
Women have been invisible within churches and religions dominated by men. Women’s
faithfulness and commitment may be invisible and ignored. Women have struggled to put gender
equality on the religious agenda. There has been a mixed reaction to their efforts, with the
leadership of many religions that are not willing to change.
Most religions are being led by men, and women only serves as a support system and
tends to be always behind the scenes.
2. What are the common gender issues that you observe in your own religion?
I have never observed any gender issues in my own religion. Though the highest position in the
church has always been held by men, women still plays a vital role within our religion. Women
are given an equal opportunity to serve and act as leaders in the church.
