Adjusting Samsung A40 Screen Padding

Dirk owns a Samsung A40 and changed the screen resolution and density settings via ADB commands to improve performance and battery life. However, with the lower resolution, there is too much empty space below the status bar notification area. Dirk asks if there is a way to reduce this empty space as it looks ugly, and provides a screenshot highlighting the notch area and unwanted red space below.

Hi,

I hope this is the correct forum for my concern. I own a Samsung A40 device and I'm
very happy with it.

For performance and battery life I changed by screen resolution from 1080 x 2340 to
540 x 1170, set the density from 439 to 220 and removed the rounded corners via ADB
from PC:

adb shell wm size 540x1170


adb shell wm density 220
adb shell settings put secure sysui_rounded_size 0

And it works pretty well and I'm happy with it- it's enough resolution for me. But
one little thing annoys me- With the lower screen resolution the space/ padding
below the status/ notification bar in every normal app is too large and it looks
ugly. The A40 has a very small notch in the middle of the status bar and the empty
space is below the notch. Is there a way to change it? I have uploaded a image
showing a screen shot, I painted the notch in black and the red space I don't want
to have:
