TOPIC OF THE PROJECT:
One specific project based on financial statement analysis of a company covering these aspects of the
following:
1 Accounting Ratios
2 Cash Flow Statements
3 Segment Reports
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS OF THE PROJECT:
1. Students have to choose any TWO Topic from the above topic mentioned.
2. It should be an independent, self-directed piece of study of the student.
3. Only BLACK and BLUE Pen should be used while writing the Project work. Make sure you don’t
use RED & PINK colours in your project.
4. Pictures can be pasted but it should be meaningful and relevant to the topic.
5. Captions of the Project can be written using some colourful Ink or Sketch Pens but make sure the
project should not become too colourful.
6. Mention Page number in every page of the project.
7. There should be Index of the Project.
8. You should use ONE Page to make the Certificate, at the bottom of the Certificate Page there should
be two spaces (one left and one Right) given for Signature one for
“Subject Teacher” and other for “External Examiner’s Signature”.
The objectives of the project work are to enable learners to:
• Probe deeper into theoretical concepts learnt in class XII
• To locate weak part of business which needs more attention
• To provide deeper analysis of liquidity, solvency , activity and profitability of the business
• To provide information useful for making estimates and preparing plans for future
• To compare the performance of the business in the present market scenario
• To ascertain the receipts of cash and cash equivalents from operating, investing and financing activities of
the enterprise.
• To ascertain net change in cash and cash equivalents
• To highlight the major activities that have provided cash and that used cash during a particular period.
The expectations of the project work are that:
• Learners will complete only ONE project in each academic session
• It will be an independent, self-directed piece of study
