01 - INSTALLATION
WARNING: Machine installation must be performed by specialized
personnel only.

We disclaim all responsibility for damages resulting from installation not

complying with these instructions or from connecting the machine to power
and utility lines not satisfying the necessary requirements.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

The Loop Fusing Unit mod. 500SP is equipped with a cable to be connected
to the supply power. Connect this cable to an outlet with power 230V
monophase 50Hz.

In figure 1, the Loop Fusing Unit mod.500SP controls are illustrated.

03_OPERATION

START UP

Turn the main switch into the position I.

Start up the resistance switch into position 1; check the pre-set temperature is
the right one to use (the right temperature depends on the material to be
ironed).

To adjust act on the keys ▲+ ▼-, keeping them pressed, until it reaches the
desired temperature.

Be careful with the parts involved in the ironing process

because they become extremely hot.

PRESSING

Before starting the pressing it is necessary to unlock the “pressure lever 1”

and the “pressure lever 2”; then raise the upper resistance holder plate
holding the relative handle (see figure 2).

Slip the loop through the two traction cylindrical roller and then block the
“pressure lever 1”.
After checking that the loop strips are positioning in the places obtained in the
lower resistance holder plate, move down the upper resistance holder plate
using the apposite handle.
Block the “pressure lever 2”.

To start the running of the machine press the button “START”; to stop the
motor press the button “EMERGENCY – STOP”.
04_ADJUSTMENTS

Always disconnect the machine from the mains supply and

wait for the ironing parts to cool down before undertaking
any adjustment, replacement or maintenance work.

The operations hereinafter described must be performed only

by specialized personnel.

SPEED MOTOR ADJUSTMENT

The loop transport is carried out by a monophase motor, equipped with a

speed mechanical variator and a gear mechanism.
To modify the rotation speed of the motor, act on the adjustment wheel (see
figure 1), turning it clockwise to increase it and anticlockwise to decrease it.
ATTENTION: to ensure a longer lifespan to the transmission parts,
never turn the wheel when the motor is not working.

PRESSURES ADJUSTMENT

To increase or decrease the pressure on the transport rollers or on the

resistance holder plate, act with a wrench CH24 on the working of the
springs, as illustrated in figure 4.

05_TROUBLESHOOTING

Always disconnect the machine from the mains supply and

wait for the ironing parts to cool down before undertaking
any adjustment, replacement or maintenance work.

The operations hereinafter described must be performed only

by specialized personnel.

THE MACHINE DOES NOT HEAT

Check and eventually replace the resistances, the thermostat, the

thermocouple and the resistances contactor.

IRREGULAR TEMPERATURE

Check and eventually replace the thermostat and the thermocouple.

THE MOTOR WILL NOT START

Check that the “pressure lever 1” is blocked: the machine is equipped with a
safety micro-switch that prevents the start of the motor if the aforementioned
lever is unlocked.
If the motor however doesn’t start, check that the cylindrical gears of the two
pinch rollers are perfectly matched to allow the operation of the micro-switch;
if not turn lightly the upper roller.
If after the checking described above the motor still doesn’t work, check and
eventually replace the motor, the relative contactor and fuses.
