Get a list of all tables, while in BigQuery Console, run the following:

BQ console link: https://console.cloud.google.com/bigquery (you'll need to sign-in


with a Google Account)

Run this query to get all tables we'll be working with:

SELECT project_id, dataset_id, table_id


FROM `jrjames83-1171.sampledata.__TABLES__`

The output should look like this.

project_id dataset_id table_id


jrjames83-1171 sampledata aoc2017day2
jrjames83-1171 sampledata blocks23
jrjames83-1171 sampledata conversion_paths

When we query tables we use the general syntax of PROJECT.DATASET.TABLE

...for instance

SELECT * FROM jrjames83-1171.sampledata.aoc2017day2

You can also use backticks

SELECT * FROM `jrjames83-1171.sampledata.aoc2017day2`
