Social media is becoming increasing popular among ..

Advantages VS Disadvantages

Nowadays people in all age groups can easily use social media to communicate with
each other anytime and show their daily lives to the public anywhere. To some
extent, social media has already greatly facilitated our lives compared with the past.

In my perspective, the advantages of social media clearly outweigh its negative

impact as it has made our life easier compared with lives in the past.

P1: Background sentence + Main Argument

Task 1:30% 1/3: 8: 20m: 30m (150 words)

Task 2:70% 2/3: 6: 40m: 30m (250 words)
Average Score: 8*1/3+6*2/3=6.4=6.5

P2: Nevertheless, every coin has two sides, (what that negativity is). While people are
enjoying the convenience that social media brought, some harmful effects gradually
emerge. Social media applications and platforms are usually lack of complete rules to
watch over the creator or content, which do not provide a friendly internet
environment for children and teenagers. Many creators publish posts containing
extreme language/opinions in order to attract the public eyes/attract more mention
from the public. As juveniles haven’t built the fundamental values to recognize (tell)
the good or evil, they will easily misunderstand the society and go off the track.

P2: Paragraph Strcuture:

P3: Meanwhile, most of the social media content are related to amusement. It brings
them short-term happiness but waste massive time unknowingly, also restrict the
mind of deep thinking.

P4: In addition, social media has also caused many troubles for adults. Firstly,
telecommunications fraud occurs frequently. It is very effective for criminals to use
personal information leaked through social media to engage in targeted fraud.
Secondly, the public's sympathy is abused. Many fabricated lies and inverted facts
have consumed the enthusiasm of the public. This results in people who truly need
help not being noticed. The trust between people decreases.

P5: The problem is never social media itself, but the way it is used. As long as we can
adopt more effective ways to reduce the negative impacts, such as introducing more
comprehensive laws, setting stricter registration conditions on platforms, and
conducting stricter screening of content. the advantages of social media definitely
outweigh the disadvantages, and it will become a more effective tool in our life.
