professional life later in life.

might feel and behave.
It is common for children to develop emotional and behavioral problems after behavioral problems
after a family divorce. They may become depressed, suffer headaches or stomach problems, abuse
drugs, or get in trouble at school. An example can be: through divorce, children can be affected as
they have to learn to adapt to change more and more often. New family dynamics, new home or living
situation, school, friends, etc., can all have an effect.
3. What is a midlife crisis? Why do some experts think that the midlife crisis is a product of
Western cultures?
A midlife crisis is a transition of identity and self-confidence that can occur in middle-aged
individuals, typically 45 to 65 years old. They think this because, In the western cultures they tend to
focus on the power of youth. So in response to these feelings, people often switch careers, seek
divorce, or buy expensive items like sports cars or jewelry to cheer themselves up.
4. Give examples of myths about aging that many people believe. Why are these myths
harmful?
Some common myths about aging are: Growing older means becoming ill and living in a nursing
home. It is too late for elderly people to change their habits and improve their health. The only way
to stay healthy in old age is to inherit the right genes. These myths can affect older people in the way
that they think they can not improve their health, so they stop taking care of themselves and let
themselves die.
5. Explain why this statement is true: A funeral is just the beginning of recovery from the death
of a loved one.
This statement is true because a funeral is the beginning of a long path of accepting the loss of a
loved one. A funeral is the way people deal with their grief when a loved one dies. After the funeral,
every person is going to pass a five stage grief. Not everyone goes through all five stages or passes
through the stages in the same order.
