Mr. Jonathan L. Go
Vice President, Philippine Span Asia Corp.

Dear Mr. Jonathan L. Go,

Good day Sir! Please accept my application for deck cadet training from your shipping and
have attached my resume for you.

I am particularly interested in working at Philippine Span Asia Corp. because the shipping
carved a reputation for itself in the field of skill development and advancement.

Being organized and skilled person with immense willingness to learn new skills. I am a
quick learner and can pick up new concepts and tasks very quickly. Despite my lack of
formal work experience on shipboard position I feel that I can handle the duties and would be
well – suited for deck cadet position. I am ready for the challenge and I’m prepared to work
as many hours as necessary to make my dream come true. It is my ambition to become a
mariner and develop my skills and widen my experience.

I am physically able to handle the challenges of life on a ship and I believe that I have the
required skills and experience to be part of your company. I am certain that your company
will provide me with an excellent platform to develop my abilities as well as my skills. I am
well prepared to support the company in whichever way I can and will use it as an
opportunity.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Respectfully yours,

Alextomy L. Asuncion
