The undersigned is directed to notify all the concerned that the


application for online Post Publication Scrutiny (P
(PPS)
PS) and Post Publication
Review (PPR) of answer scripts of H.S. Examination, 2023 will be accepted
from 31.05.2023
2023 midnight to 15.06.2023 midnight through online portal
https://wbchse.wb.gov.in/ of the Council. Candidates of H.S. Examination
2023 may apply for PPS/PPR of their answer scripts within this time limit.
Rules & user manual of PPS/PPR are attached herewith for ready reference.
In this context, the students are advised not to apply
ly for PPS/PPR and
certified copy of answer scripts as per RTI Act simultaneously before
the publication of result of PPS/PPR as because this will lead to
complication and delay in publication of result of PPS/PPR.

Rules for Post Publication Scrutiny (PPS) / Post Publication Review (PPR) of answer script of Higher
Secondary Examination 2023

1) A candidate who has appeared the H.S. Examination 2023 may apply for PPS / PPR of his/her answer-
script(s) within 15 days from the date of publication of result of H.S. Examination, 2023 along with the
requisite fee. However, the candidate has to first register himself/herself in the student portal at any
time by visiting the Council Website : https://wbchse.wb.gov.in/

2) Application for PPS / PPR of answer scripts through Online Mode will only be accepted. There will be no
other option to submit the PPS/PPR application.

3) Candidate will have to submit Roll No and Mark Sheet No for submission of online application.

4) Application fee for PPR is Rs. 150/- (One hundred and fifty only) for each subject. Application fee
for PPS is Rs. 100/- (One hundred only) for each subject.

5) Application for PPR/PPS shall be restricted to theoretical papers only. Applicant may seek PPS in all
subjects.

6) Application for PPR may be made in subject(s) for which PPS is not sought for.

7) Application for PPR may be made for a maximum of 02 subjects provided that the (theory) marks
obtained in the subjects(s) for which PPR is sought for cannot be less than 20% for Regular &
Continuing candidates.

8) A failed candidate (Regular & Continuing) may seek PPR provided he/she obtains at least Grade C in
two compulsory subjects (Language or Elective).

9) A special candidate may seek PPR in one subject only provided theory marks in t h e s u b j e c t is
20% or above.

10) A Regular & Continuing passed candidate may seek PPR provided that he/she has obtained higher grade
in other 03 subjects than the grade obtained in subject/s for which PPR is sought for. For PPR in optional
elective subjects, the candidate must have obtained ‘Grade F’ in the said optional elective subject.

11) A candidate (Regular & Continuing) with overall consistency in result reflecting the same grade i.e. O or
A+ or A or B+ or B or C or P in all the subjects including optional elective subject shall not be eligible to
seek PPR.

12) An incomplete or incorrect application for PPR/PPS shall summarily be rejected by the Council and
no enquiry or correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.

13) No application for PPR/PPS shall be entertained beyond the specified period under any
circumstances.

14) Candidate may see the result of PPS/PPR from Council’s website. The revised mark sheet/certificate (if
any) has to be collected from the concerned Regional Office of the Council by the school by surrendering
the previous one. Accordingly, the school will hand over the revised mark sheet/certificate to the
concerned candidate maintaining the records.

15) Candidates applying for PPS/PPR shall have to accept the result of Post Publication Scrutiny / Post
Publication Review as the case may be.

16) Any matter which is not described herein to be solely decided by the Council and the decision of the
Council will be the final.
User Manual for PPS/ PPR

Interested students have to follow the following steps for applying online PPS/PPR:-

 Go to Council official website https://wbchse.wb.gov.in/.

 Then Click on ‘Students Login’


 Students need to sign up.

 Fill the necessary fields for first time registration. Enter your Registration Number ,
Institution Code [ which was printed on the left corner of the Mark sheet ] and mobile
number on which OTP for registration and username after registration will be sent.

 After registration go to PPS/PPR tab


 Enter your roll number and mark sheet number. And Press the ‘Validate Roll No &
Marksheet No’ Button.

 Select subjects for PPS/PPR and click the preview button to recheck
 After reviewing the details click check the ‘I accept’ check box then you will get the final
submit button else do the necessary modification by pressing the edit button.

 And pay the requisite amount
