ECG Sawtooth Patterns Explained

1. Atrial flutter results in a sawtooth appearance on an ECG with regular ventricular response due to conduction of every second flutter wave. 2. Atrial fibrillation shows irregularly irregular rhythm without distinct P waves and a narrow QRS complex. 3. First degree atrioventricular block shows prolongation of the PR interval but the QRS is normal.
