Description & Justification
‘The order placing activity seems to be the most interesting, complex and
important diagram for the Feed Me Now system. This is because the process of
the system is all around the order that starts when a customer places an order
and ends when the order is successfully delivered. It is an effective method of
describing the business process of the system. It provides the smooth flow of
actions between the entities.
In the initial stage, the customer requests a menu and then he/she selects items
for order. This diagram includes five partitions of Customers, restaurants / cafes,
Feed Me Now system, Riders and External Mapping System.
The scenario of Place order activity diagram includes the assumption that
restaurants can reject the special needs of the customer. Then customer will have
to choose to order items again. Customer have an option to choose takeaway or
to use the home delivery facility of the system. After selecting all the required
things the customer will be moved to the payment gateway.
After confirming the payment, the system will process the order and bear no
return once the order is processed. If the order is with the home delivery option
then it will be ready to assign the order to the rider. Once the order is accepted
and delivered the process will come to an end.
