Good Presentation

1) Start Strongly:
The beginning of your presentation is crucial. You need to grab your
audience attention & hold it.

2) Smile & Make Eye Contact:


If you smile & make eye contact you are building rapport, which helps the
audience to connect with you & your subject.

3) Visible To Audience:
Make sure that you don’t turn down all the lights so that only the slide
screen is visible. Your audience needs to see you as well as your slides.

4) Passion & Connectivity With Audience:


The most important thing is to connect with your audience & the best way to
do that is to let your passion for the subject shine through. Be enthusiastic &
honest and the audience will respond.

5) Focus On Audience Needs:


As you prepare the presentation, you always need to bear in mind what the
audience needs & wants to know, not what you can tell them. While you’re
giving presentation, you also need to remain focused on your audience
response & react to that.

6) Keep It Simple:
Keep your presentation simple and clear so that every individual can get
your points easily.

7) Tell Stories:
Stories help us to pay attention & also to remember things. If you can use
stories in your presentation, your audience is more likely to engage & to
remember your points afterwards.

8) Body Language & Effective Voice:


That means that as well as your tone of voice, your body language is crucial
to getting your message across. Make your gestures open & confident &
varying the speed at which you talk & emphasizing changes in pitch & tone
all help to make your voice more interesting & hold your audience attention.

9) Engaging With Slides:


Your audience is more likely to remember the information you share if they
can hear it & see it with visual aids. Add slides to your presentation to help
them retain more of your content.

10) Take Questions:


Take Questions at the end of your presentation. It help your audience to
engage with you & develop their interest.
Bad Presentation

1) Starting Poorly:
If you start your presentation poorly so it will lose your audience
attention & make your audience bore.

2) Don’t Read Slides:


From Read your slides exactly. You should also explain it by your own to
engage with audience interest.

3) No Eye Contact & Smile:


Making no eye contact & not smiling is not a good sign while giving a
presentation. It shows that you are nervous & lack of confidence.

4) Avoid Long Texts:


Avoid too many texts on your presentation & never write entire
sentences.
5) Complicated Structure:
The structure of your presentation should not be complicated. Your
audience should be able to follow you easily & remember the essential
information otherwise it will lead audience to difficulty.

6) Irrelevant Contents:
Presenting irrelevant contents can lead audience to disinterest.

7) Audience Interaction:
Interaction with audience is important, if you block potential interaction
with the audience which make your presentation worse like reading to
the wall.

8) Avoid Fast Speaking:


You should never speak incoherently & you should not speak too fast.
You should speak free instead of reading aloud.

9) Lack of Preparation:
Not engaging the audience in the beginning of the presentation. Poorly
organized information ( no order or logic) or lack of clear purpose &
poorly designed.

10) Monotone Voice:


Your voice is the primary means of communicating with your audience.
No matter how interesting your material, if you speak in a monotone
voice you will lose.

Conclusion:
Your presentation have clear structure, your conclusion should be short & concise.
It should summarize or highlight the main points you made or emphasize what the
audience should have learned. A good presentation consist of strong structure,
audience Interaction, confident & having eye contact with audience while having
smile on your face. Using body gestures & effective voice developing your
audience interest & engage you with them. Emphasize on your key points, if you
really want to make your presentation successful then avoid making mistakes of
bad Presentation such as lack of structure, starting poorly, complicated Structure,
monotone voice, long text, fast speaking, lack of Preparation and irrelevant
contents. In the end give chance to audience to ask questions.
