Education unit’s earner program being available to me. Through the past month I have
realized to get anywhere in life that I would like to become an educator. So here I am,
and I’m so proud that I eventually stuck it out myself to this program and I would
completely everything in perfect time because when I first started in this program, I was
wondering how I would accomplish this program. I remember the first portfolio we were
assigned it took me a couple of weeks to even get me to finish my portfolio. I went to the
library or internet to search some sources, which did help me. I completed the portfolio
and it may not be good, but I was somehow I was on the right track. I realized that I
have to do is to try.
I have been graduated in my degree for almost four years now and wow it’s crazy
how time flies. It goes even faster once I actually going to work. All I wanted to do in
college was studying like most college students, then I got to travel and see a lot of the
tourism spots, along with a lot beautiful people, which was my own way of learning
different culture. So eventually I realized it was time to make a move in the right
direction. One thing I like the most about teaching is the feeling of accomplishment; I
haven’t had that feeling for a long time. Before I start my portfolio, I feel like I don’t want
to do this, but once I finally do it makes you feel really good about yourself to actually
move forward and not to back.
Throughout this month I have realized time and practice is the key components in
developing my teaching. In the past I would only learn when given as lesson in college.
This isn’t taking up too much time or practice; you’re just doing what you’re told to do.
Learning is a good thing to practice throughout the semester, even if you’re not told to,
three minutes a day will even help. This help get your ideas down on teaching, I know
sometimes throughout the day I will have though for an activity and I think to myself I’ll
just study it later, then write down the answer to a little notebook so that your ideas will
never be forgotten. Then clustering your ideas will help get you started and speaking
rhetorically tying all those aspects together to have a smooth fluent learning.
I have realized that learning is a process; it is something that will stick with you
and help throughout your life. Throughout this semester I have heard people in our
class because they want to become educator as their occupation. Well, I think it’s more
than that. It is a technique that will help you only with school and work, but also to
explain yourself to people in everyday situations, to help get your main idea to them.
Learning is a long process though I feel I have made progress; I know I still have a lot to
learn. Basically, with learning and anything else in life, you have to keep evolving and
changing if you want to get anywhere.
In reflection on learner – centered psychological principles, I have gained clarity
on what sorts of competencies as a learner I should have learned. Therefore, learning is
a complex subject that would matter from constructing meaning from information and
experience. A successful learner is active, goal – directed, self-regulating and assume
personal responsibility for contributing to their own learning. I had a lot plenty of learning
technique’s and I am more visual learner than an auditory learner. It is easier to see
powerpoint and retain the knowledge then listen to a lecturer and have the same
retention.
Initially me as a learner my goal was likely a short term once and when I was
about to finally understand that I should have to expand my goal into a long term. I
eventually refined my gaps in being inconsistencies and deepening my knowledge on
the subject matter. As a future teacher I should assist my learners in creating their
meaningful learning goals that are consistent with both personal and educational
aspirations and interests. That would stimulate their cognitive and metacognitive
learning in a good structural of knowledge that they can still remember as the years
goes by.
I also learned that I should learned the individual differences of a learners and
they have their own develop capabilities of talent. In addition, they will acquire learning
and social acculturation, they could have acquired their own preferences. On how they
would like learn and which they would kike to learn from me as educator. I learned that
learners need helps from me to expand their knowledge of learning and I also learned
studying my lesson in advanced help me in planning a great lesson a head of time. On
that note I already avoid a longest of time to take what lesson should I teach to my
learners.
I never knew that being educator was something that was so never racking and I
also having a knowledge throwback in my mind to work over any problems that might
not be answered by my learners in class or didn’t even ask in the class. I also notice
that having a class with a learner who don’t judge your lesson or ask questions while
discussing to them my lesson will be a great difficult to me as educator. Therefore, there
is a learner that has different diversity when it comes to culture, language, race, and
beliefs and socioeconomic status that would also can affect their influence in learning.
I encountered some problems when it comes to different diversity when I still
studying and they usually argue about it. So, when I became finally realize that I should
carefully understand the factors that would be enhances and implementing appropriate
learning environments to those learners who had difficulty in understanding the different
cultures of their co - learners. They should respect their individualities through abilities,
backgrounds, cultures and experiences that their co – learners have. Therefore, as
educator you should know how to accommodate them how learning this task and
motivate the achievement of your learners.;’
From reading the powerpoint that our instructor sent us via group chat as I read
it, I learned that learning the lessons ahead of time and taking notes the important
words that I encountered while I’m reading the powerpoint presentation. It helps a lot to
me to farther out my knowledge on that particular lesson and its important to write some
outline of your lesson so that you will make an organizing lesson in that particular
subject. Furthermore, it would also help you in making a standard and proper
assessment to your learners.
Having an observation in actual setting school manner were another great
example of a good educators. When I heard about the learner centered psychological
principles lessons and I’ll admit that I was fearful of what outcome I would be when I
became a professional educator in the future. I’m not that good when it comes to public
speaking and believed it would be a disaster for me. But having this kind of opportunity
to speak up in front of my classmate somehow is a great chance for me not to be
frightened when I speak in front of my future learners.
