Stage Procedure Resources Time
0 The teacher will start the class by presenting to the Book 20’
students a new friend: Jojo, the frog. Jojo is going to
tell the class that they are going to read a story
about a particular frog – a frog that does not want to
hibernate in the winter – that wants to play in the
snow! The objective is to hype the class to make
them excited to listen about the story.
The story is called:
“Froggy gets dressed”
The book talks about clothes and it’s a way of testing
children’s knowledge about clothes.
1
After reading the story, it is about time that we Game about ‘10
connect the seasons and the clothes. However, clothes/seasons
how? The teacher will present pupils with a game + flashcards
where they have to listen to the sentences said, and
have to dress up a boy and a girl according to the
voice. Here, students can see what types of clothes
can be worn on winter, spring, etc.
Some examples of sentences are:
- The girl is wearing a dress;
- The boy wears a belt;
The students will have the help of some flashcards

to recall some clothes, if they have some difficulties.

with my little eye”. The game will consist of
students finding what the teacher is talking about, by
just giving some information about the piece of
clothing she is describing.
Some examples may be:
- I spy with my little eye, something red,
bright and shiny
- I spy with my little eye, some blue and
white trainers
- I spy with my little eye, a blue t-shirt

For the last part of the lesson, teacher will play a
memory game with students. As asked before in
class, in a discrete way (“What do you wear when
it’s cold/hot/…?”), pupils should know and recall
the weather. With this game they should then
consolidate the weather vocabulary for the next test.
Assessment:
Use the memory game and the worksheet to consolidate the vocabulary studied.
The game “I spy with my little eye” will help develop the visual perception of
students.
Aprendizagens Essenciais:
Oral and written comprehension: Application of prior knowledge; identify words
and expressions (vocabulary);
Visual competence: recognize colours, clothes by just giving detailed aspects about

it.
Oral interaction: Ask and answer questions about personal preferences and self
information, clothes and colours.
Anticipated problems:
1. Internet not working – would prevent me of doing the memory game;
2. Projector not working – pupils can’t see some images in a big picture.
Solutions:
1. Try the game “Simon says” using cardinal numbers (simon says, take one step
forward)
2. Turn the monitor over for students so they can see the images clearly
