WHAT IS COMPUTER?

Computer play an important role in people’s lives, particularly in education and business. For
example, if a newly graduated student wants to create a resume and job application, he or she will need
the Microsoft word application; similarly, if a business graduate wants to start a business and create a
business plan, he or she will need Microsoft Office applications, which include the following tools: MS
PowerPoint is used to present company ideas, MS Excel is used to quickly calculate financial activities,
and MS Word is used to produce letters and other documents to get the business up and running.

Data Processing and Computer Applications Software

Raw data is entered into a computer system for processing, which results in useful outcome
known as information. The terms “data” and “information” are sometimes misunderstood to mean the
same thing. However, they are different.

Data are collection of raw facts, like characters, numbers or any other data type. Whereas, information
is data that was processed which human can read, understand and use it. This can have different aspects
such as it can use to kill boredom by playing video games, it can also help to the education of students
