I'd like you to imagine yourself coping effectively with a similar situation in the future.
With the new positive belief [ Jand a feeling of [ leg,
calm, confidence), imagine stepping into this scene. Notice how you're handling the
situation and what you're thinking, feeling, and experiencing in your body. ... pause .
What are you noticing?
If there are any blocks, anxieties, or fears, these are then targeted directly by the sets
If a negative belief emerges, it can often be resolved by:
Exploring its meaning
Recollecting any earlier memories that may be influencing it, and
Directing treatment to the applicable representational memory, including the
installation of an appropriate positive cognition (see below)
Often, a simple discussion of the situation, along with appropriate information and
modeling may be enough to resolve the client’s negative feelings.
If it isn’t resolved, begin Phase 3: Assessment: gather the image, negative cognition,
emotions, SUDs, body location/sensation, positive cognition, and VOC.
Continue with Phases 4-7:
4: Desensitization (body, NC, image; reprocessing with FAST DAS/BLS)
5: Installation (target memory; after SUD = 0 and VOC = 7 with FAST DAS/BLS)
6: Body Scan (target memory, PC; FAST DAS/BLS until neutralized)
7: Closure (SLOW DAS/BLS for safety and stabilization; contact support if needed)
