A Mild Steel bar of cross sectional area 500mm2 is acted upon by the axial forces as shown in figure
Determine stress develop and elongation in each section and Total elongation take E= 200KN/mm2 .
b Calculate M I of Hallow Rectangle about an passing through bottom side the outer dimension are
300X450mm and inner dimensions are 200X 350mm refer fig 2 b.
c Calculate M I of about Centroidal axis about as shown in figure 2c .
d A steel har 900 mm long Its two ends are 40 mm and
30 mm in diameter and the length of each rod is 200
mm.The middle portion of the bar is 15 mm in diameter
and 500 mm long. If the bar is subjected an axial tensile
load of 15 kN, determine (1) Change in length of bar.
