Using OPC DA software applications can retrieve real-time data to enable them to
monitor a given process. In that scenario, OPC DA is used for data acquisition. OPC
DA can also be used to enable a software application to write data to a control
system. This enables OPC DA applications to handle supervisory control. Thus, OPC
DA is well suited for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) scenarios. OPC
DA is typically used by almost all process control applications that are used as an HMI,
Historian, Advanced Process Control (APC), Maintenance, ERP (Enterprise Resource
Planning), Analysis, Optimization, etc

Agilent Converter
ProtoConvert SCPI driver is designed to connect and read data from an Agilent data
logger. Usability of this driver can be extended to other devices that support SCPI
protocol.
The ProtoConvert SCPI driver is a poll response driver. Only one command can be
processed at a time.
A limited set of the queries and commands defined in the protocol specification have
been implemented. More commands can be implemented based on project
requirements. The ProtoConvert Gateway can emulate Client.

Veeder-Root Converter
The Veeder-Root Serial Driver allows ProtoConvert Gateway to transfer data to and
from devices over either RS- 232 or RS-485 ports using Veeder-Root protocol as
defined in Veeder Root Document 576013-635 Revision J. The Veeder-Root Driver
supports TLS350 as per Veeder-Root Document 576013-635 Revision Y, and TLS450 as
per Veeder-Root Document 577013-950 Revision G. Since the data protocol is
the same for the TLS-350+ as for TL-S350, it is assumed that the driver will support
the TLS350+ but this has not been tested. The Driver also successfully communicates
with the TLS-450 as it has the same data protocol.
BACnet Modbus
BACnet IP Modbus TCP SNMP
MSTP RTU
Veeder-Root Converter
The Veeder-Root Serial Driver is a poll response driver. Only one query or command
can be processed at a time.
A limited set of the queries and commands defined in the protocol specification have
been implemented. The reason for the limitation
is two-fold. Firstly, not all commands/queries will have any meaning to a Server device
as they are principally defined to
configure the Veeder-Root Device. Secondly, some commands return very complex
data sets which cannot be processed in a
method suitable for loading into the FieldServer’s Data Arrays.
The driver can show communications statistics, which can be monitored using a
Server device.
CAN Protocol
Using the CAN Protocol driver it is possible to configure the ProtoConvert gateway as
a CAN passive client and listen for incoming CAN messages. The messages can be
filtered based on their CAN message Ids and the incoming bytes of data can be read
and presented as is.
We can create custom functions to manipulate the data. Please get in touch with our
sales or support team in case such a customization is required.

The driver decodes the printer-style output sent form the panel. Only recognised
events are decoded and made available as objects. All alarms from the configured
panel will be routed onwards. The driver is unable to request the current state of the
panel at start-up, therefore the panel should be clear of all events when starting or
resetting the driver.
The driver connects to the panel’s third-party serial port interface. This printer-style
output port provides limited monitoring only, no commands can be sent to the panel.

The Cheetah Protocol driver allows the Field Server to transfer data to and from
devices over either RS-232 or RS-485 using the Cheetah device protocols (Legacy
Cheetah Classic, Cheetah Xi and Cheetah MIM).
The driver supports messages sent from the Cybercat panel. Specifically, the driver
supports message 1.02 which reports panel, zone and device states.
The FieldServer can emulate either a Server or Client but it should be noted that it can
only process unsolicited messages from the Cheetah devices. Thus, it does not
provide an active Client driver. It is best to consider this driver as a consumer only
driver with the data being produced by a Cheetah controller.
Hardware Specifications
This serial driver connects via RS-232 to the printer port of a Farenhyt Series Black
FACP.
The driver is a passive client driver. It does not poll for data. It waits passively for the
panel to transmit data. When an event is sent to the gateway it evaluates the event
and turns data points on/off. These points are mapped onto BACnet / Modbus etc.
objects so the BMS can read them,
The driver cannot be used to simulate a Farenhyt FACP. Because only the passive
client side of the protocol is implemented.
