HRM, or Human Resource Management, is perceived differently from the global arena, depending

on the culture and economic environment of the country in question. In general, HRM is considered
an essential aspect of modern business management and is seen as a critical function that can help
organizations achieve their strategic objectives.

However, there are some issues that HR professionals should be concerned about when operating in
the global arena. These issues include:

 Cultural Differences: HR professionals must be aware of cultural differences in different

countries, including differences in work ethic, communication styles, and management
practices. This is important for recruiting and managing a diverse workforce and ensuring
that HR policies are in line with local customs and practices.
 Legal Compliance: HR professionals need to be aware of the different labor laws and
regulations in different countries to ensure compliance. For instance, there may be different
regulations for employee termination, overtime pay, and other labor-related issues.
 Language and Communication Barriers: In many global organizations, employees may speak
different languages or come from different backgrounds. HR professionals need to ensure
effective communication and avoid misunderstandings that may arise due to language
barriers.
 Talent Management: HR professionals must also be able to identify and retain top talent in a
competitive global marketplace. This requires an understanding of the unique needs and
motivations of employees in different countries, as well as the ability to create a positive and
engaging work environment.
 Diversity and Inclusion: In today's global economy, diversity and inclusion are essential for
creating a strong and effective workforce. HR professionals need to ensure that their
organizations have policies and practices in place to support diversity and inclusion.

In summary, HR professionals operating in the global arena must be aware of cultural differences,
legal compliance, language and communication barriers, talent management, and diversity and
inclusion. By addressing these issues, they can create a positive and effective HR strategy that
supports the success of their organization in a global marketplace.
