Your personal safety and the proper operation of ‘this machine depend upon the strict observance of these precautions. The three types of advisories are defined as follows: PENINTS cae pazonaty hazrcous situation which, i not avoided, could result in death o serious injury rn Indicates a potentially hazardous NUE situation which, if not avoided, could fesult in minor of moderate injury. It could also be used to alert against unsafe practices. PLS indicates. situationthat could resultin equipment or property-damage only Important Environmental Concerns Scientific research has shown that certain man-made chemicals can affect the earth's naturally occurring stratospheric ozone layer when released to the atmosphere. In particular, several of the identified chemicals that may affect the ozone layer are refrigerants that contain Chlorine, Fluorine and Carbon (CFCs) and ‘those containing Hydrogen, Chlorine, Fluorine and Carbon (HCFCs). Not all refrigerants containing these compounds have the same potential impact to the environment, Trane advocates the responsible handling of all refrigerants-including industry replacements for CFCs and HCFCs such as saturated or unsaturated HFCs and HCFCs. Important Responsible Refrigerant Practices ‘Trane believes that responsible refrigerant practices are important to the environment, our customers, and the air conditioning industry. All technicians who handle refrigerants must be certified according to local rules. For the USA, the Federal Clean Air Act (Section 608) sets forth the requirements for handling, reclaiming, recovering and recycling of certain refrigerants and the equipment that is. Used in these service procedures. In addition, some states for municipalities may have additional requirements that must also be adhered to for responsible management of refrigerants. Know the applicable laws and follow them. ©2021 Trane Proper Field Wi Required! Failure to follow code could resu injury. All field wiring MUST be performed by quali personnel. Improperly installed and grounded field ‘wiring poses FIRE and ELECTROCUTION hazards. When determining unit placement, give careful consideration to assuring a sufficient flow of air across the condenser heat, transfer surface. Two detrimental conditions are possible and must be avoided if optimum performance is to be achieved: warm air recirculation and coil starvation. Warm air recirculation occurs when discharge air from the condenser fansis recycled back to the condenser coilinlet. Coil starvation occurs when free airflow to (or from) the condenser is restricted Both warm air recirculation and coil starvation cause reduction in unit efficiency and capacity due to the increased head pressures. Dobris, trash, supplies etc. should not be allowed to accumulate in the vicinity of the unit. Supply air movement may draw debris into the condenser coll, locking spaces between coll fins and causing coil starvation. Special consideration should be given to low ambient units, Condenser coils and fan discharge must be kept free of snow or other obstructions to permit adequate airflow for satisfactory unit operation, In situations where equipment must be installed with less clearance than recommended, such as frequently occurs in retrofit and rooftop applications, restricted airflow is common. The Main Processor will direct the unit to make as much chilled water as possible given the actualinstalled ns. Consult your Trane sales engineer for more Note: If the outdoor unit configuration requires a variance to the clearance dimensions, contact your Trane Sales Office Representative. Welding to stee! is permitted providing the weld achiaves the requir strength. 3. Remove clamp down nut (H} and washer (I). Isolators are shipped with (2) removable spacer shims (E) between the top plate and the housing, Important: These shims MUST be in place when the ‘equipment is positioned over the isolators. 4. With all shims (E) in place, place the equipment onto the top plate (A) of the isolators, 4 5. Bolt equipment securely to the isolators using washer (i) and nut (HY Important: The following adjustment process can only begin after the equipment or machine is at its full operating weight 6. Back off each of the (2) or (4) limit stop locknuts (F} per isolator 1/4 to 378 inch, 7. Adjust each isolator in sequence by turning adjusting rnut{s} (G) one full clockwise turn at atime, Repeat this procedure on allisolators, one ata time. check thellimit stop locknuts (F) periodically to ensure that clearance between the washer and rubber grommet is maintained. Stop adjustment of an isolator only when the top plate (A) has risen just above the shim (E). Remove all spacer shims (E) 9. Fine adjust isolators to level equipment. 10. Adjust limit stop locknuts (F) per isolator to obtain 3/ Binch gap. the limit stop nuts must be kept at this 3/8 inch gap to ensure uniform bolt loading during uplift.
