This story is based on an authentic and real incident. The main story started when
the Perron’s family moved into a big old house. The house was a little creepy and
had a weird feeling to it. The 12-year-old daughter, Regan, who was living with
her mother because her father was out of the station for some days, loved exploring
the house and playing alone, as she did there.
But soon, strange things started to happen. Doors would slam shut on their own,
and Regan could see weird things that weren't there. She would hear strange noises
and feel scared. Her parents thought it was just her imagination, but it wasn't.
Later, Regan started to act strangely. She got sick, and her body was twisted and
contorted in weird ways, and sometimes her neck could rotate to 360˚. She was
abusing and doing things that weren't supposed to done by her due to being a girl.
Her parents were worried and didn't know what to do.
So, her parents took Regan to a doctor for her medical checkup. But he didn't know
what was wrong with her either. Then Regan's mother met a priest named Father
Merrin, who was an expert on demons and was recently bereaved by his mother.
The priest came to their house and told them that Regan has been possessed by a
demon.
Father Merrin said: I will try my best to make the demon come out of Regan's
body; however it won't be easy. He warned them that it could be very terrifying
and might even hurt Regan.
Regan's parents were desperate, so they agreed to let Father Merrin try. He per-
formed a special ritual to expel the demon from Regan's body. But it didn't work at
the start because the demon was using the voice of his deceased mother to invoke
deep emotions within him and compelling him to halt the ritual. The demon was
too strong that it made Regan's body twist and contort in ways that were impossi-
ble for a human.
Father Merrin knew that he had to do something else. He called another priest, Fa -
ther Karras, who was greatly brave and believed in God. He came to help Father
Merrin and together tried again to make the demon come out. But this time, the de-
mon didn't leave Regan's body since it entered Father Mirren, suffocated him and
choked him to death. This time, it was different. The demon was that much furious
and fought hard to stay inside Regan's body. Father Karras alone prayed and
chanted unique words to make the demon leave. It took a long time and was very
intense.
In the end, just after successfully performing an exorcism on Regan, Father Kar-
ras's faith was tested in a climactic and intense way as he became increasingly pos-
sessed by the demon (naming Pazuzu). He sacrificed himself by jumping from the
Regan room's window to save Regan's life, uttering the famous last words: "Give
us peace..."The family was thankful that Reagan was finally free from the demon's
grasp.
The house has been empty for decades. Some people say that on some nights, you
can still hear strange noises from inside. Some believe that Regan's spirit still
roams the halls of the old house, searching for peace.
