Finding a square root of a number is the opposite of Finding the cube root of a number is the opposite of
squaring the number. The symbol is used to show cubing the number. The 3 symbol is used to show
square roots. cube roots.
For example, a square root of 16 is 4. For example, the cube root of 125 is 5.
