Licence
The ULB WebShop makes Mathematica licences available for ULB students and employees.

The licences can be ordered on [Link]

Download
1. Open your browser and go to: Mathematica
2. Use your Microsoft 365 ULB credentials

Installation

Activating Mathematica with a licence server

1. Double click on the executable to start the installation and follow the onscreen
instructions.
2. Once you reach the product activation window, click on Other ways to activate at
the bottom of the window.
3. Select Connect to a network license server.
4. Enter [Link] as the server name and hit Activate.

Request a free Home-Use licence (Only for those

that activated Mathematica with a licence server)
It is possible to request an extra home-use licence (only one per network licence allowed) at
no additional cost. This licence allows you to use Mathematica without needing an Internet
connection.

1. Go to [Link]
2. Enter L4678-0607 as the activation key.
3. Select A new home-use license.
4. Fill in the requested information.
After this your request will be send to SoftWeb. Once approved, you will receive a mail from
Wolfram with further instructions and a licence number. Please keep this as you need it
when you want to extend your home-use licence for another year. It may take up to 2 days
for the request to be processed.

Licence Renewal
Mathematica licences are valid for one academic year and need to be renewed before the
end of September.

Once the payment has been done, the network licences are automatically renewed and don't
require any interaction from the user.

Home-use licences are not automatically renewed and require the user to send a request for
an extension of the current licence. Follow these steps to request the extension:

1. Follow step 1-2 from Request a free Home-Use licence.

2. Select An extension for an existing home-use licence.
3. Enter the home-use activation key. If you have trouble finding the key, please follow
the instructions from this link [Link] We cannot
retrieve the key for you.
4. Fill in the rest of the requested information.

After this your request will be send to SoftWeb. Once approved, you will be able to use the
home-use licence for another academic year.
