PROJECT REPORT

Work done by each team member

1. 23B1521 Harshit Sahu

● Role: Mechanical - Fabrication and assembly
● Contribution: Suggested design ideas for the project. Made 3 lead
screws and 5 hexagonal nuts using a tapping tool and internal
threading tool. Helped during the assembly of the different
components and joined the plates to support rods. Made the 3
minute review video of the project

2. 23B1522 Jash Dalal

● Role: Mechanical - Fusion 360 and assembly, also coordination
● Contribution: Was the team leader of the group and coordinated
overall efforts. Proposed different ideas of pulling mechanism and
gripping. Designed a rough sketch of the machine and 3D
modelled different components on fusion 360 including the shafts
and fasteners. Fabricated and designed the gear ratio to be used
with proper calculation. Had a big part to play during the
assembly of the machine including connecting grips to the
machine and joining the plates to support rods.

3. 23B1523 Veeraditya Karan Parakh

● Role: Electrical - Coding and electrical Circuits, also Fusion 360
● Contribution: Helped in designing the working of the machine and
fixing the dimensions. Used fusion 360 to make the grippers to be
used. Worked on the Code of IR sensor and current sensing,
understood and implemented interrupts, helped in clamping code
and coded the GUI. Made the circuitry of the machine. Also used
fractory software for 3D printing of Grips and connectors

4. 23B1524 Aditya Singh

● Role: Mechanical - Fabrication and assembly
● Contribution: Modelled different plates in Fusion 360. Used and
understood the lasercad software and fabricated all parts which
were to be laser cut. Played a big role in assembly by procuring
different materials needed for grips and gears from scraps and
giving good ideas like using 60 grit sandpaper for gripping and
using double sided tape for padding.

5. 23B1526 Satyavrat Bajpai

● Role: Mechanical - Fusion 360, fabrication and assembly
● Contribution: Gave many ideas for gripping mechanism and the
automation of the project like belt drive, lead screws and movable
grips. Modelled the movable plates, the connectors for grips, and
the new grips after the first ones were unusable after clearance
mishap. Decided the dimensions of the machine including the
lead screw and nuts and assembled the parts in fusion 360 with
all joints. Helped in laser cutting of the parts. Performed the
assembly of the machine with support of other team members in
which most of the time went to make the grips work properly. filed
and faced the lead screws and rods for smooth operation

6. 23B1527 Aditya Ojha

● Role: Electrical - Coding and electrical Circuits
● Contribution: Handled the major part of the electrical side of the
machine. Made most of the circuits and colour coded them. Also
dealt with circuit issues like noise and repeated interrupts and
fixed them. Made the IR sensor mechanism work (painted the
disk, made the circuit, wrote the code ) Tested the electric circuits
with DSO and wave generator to fine tune its working.
Understood interrupts and implemented it in the code. Designed a
code and circuit for auto clamping of grips and using sensors for
automation but automation was dropped later on due to
mechanical problems.
