Downloading SQL DEVELOPER Software:-
Launch the browser and enter SQL developer download as show below.
Choose SQL Developer Downloads.
(Or) Click on this below link
https://www.oracle.com/database/sqldeveloper/technologies/download/
Select “Windows 64 bit ZIP” File.
Accept the Licence Agreement .
Click on “ Download ”.
You will be redirected to the login Screen in order to download the file.
Enter “Sign in” details if you have oracle account .if don’t have Oracle
account create it by clicking on “Create Account” and
✏️ Enter “Sign in” Details
SQL DEVELOPER ZIP FILE will be Downloaded.
Extract Zip File to ““C Drive or Any Other Drive.”.
After extracting we can see sql developer folder as shown below:-
After Opening Sql Developer Folder we can view below Folders as
shown in screenshot.
To open App click on sqldeveloper(double click on it).
otherwise create shortcut on desktop for easy access.
after Opening sqldeveloper app we can see as below.
Click on ‘ + ’ Symbol to Login database/New Select Database Connection.
we can see as below screen.
Enter New Database Name:__________
Select Authentication Type: If Default
Default Login credentials:
Enter username as “system”.
Enter password which you have given at the time of installation.
IF you have Authentication type, give those details. (username, password)
Enter Hostname,Port ,SID or Service Name get the details from tnsnames.ora
as shown below.
Click on Test button.
if we get any error then we need to check above mentioned details
again.
if all details are ok then will get Sucess message.
Click on connect button
we can see the screen as shown below.it shows your database.
Now we can write queries and execute your queries.
after writing queries you can click on Run button.
