INTRODUCTION

Background of the Study

-Background of the Study (Left most part, Italized, 2 double spaces below
the word INTRODUCTION,)
 this represents the reasons that lead the investigators to launch the study
may state some observations and other relevant conditions or readings
that prompted the investigator to explore the problem
 It should be more or less 300-350 words.
 The answers to following questions should be found in this part:
- Why did we select this research project?
- Are there others who have done similar studies?
- What have the others done or have not done that moved me to work in this
project?
- What are our own observations relevant to this study?
- Will the result of the study make any contribution in the attainment of
better quality of life?

3
Statement of the Problem

- Statement of the Problem (Left most part, Italized, 2 double spaces below
the Background of the study)
❑ This defines the scope and limits of the problem
❑ It contains the main problem and the sub or specific questions
❑ It should start with the main problem and an opening statement for the
specific questions that are numbers which will follow in an enumeration type.

4
Significance of the Study

- Significance of the Study (Left most part, Italized, 2 double spaces

below the Statement of the Problem)
❑ It states the reason why the study is worth making and how it can
contribute to the
community or the country or the different possible beneficiaries of this study.
Each of the beneficiaries should be specified together with its impacts to them
in a paragraph form each.

5
Scope and Limitation

- Scope and Limitation (Left most part, Italized, 2 double spaces below the
Significance of the Study)
❑ It refers to the scope and extent of the study within the subject or topic area.
❑ It includes the time, money, personnel, tools and techniques involved.
❑ It also includes the extent of the researchers’ knowledge and experience
related to the topic area
❑ It Includes practical and ethical considerations that affected the way the
project is designed

6
REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

❑ It tells about previews studies made on the project

❑ Studies related in purpose, methods ,findings, summary statements of
studies being reviewed and relevant literature from books, journals, Web
❑ Observe correct citations (Author’s family name, year of publication)
❑ Cite at least Fifteen (15) related literatures
❑ The articles or literatures should be summarized with a correctly cited
reference at the end of each paragraph. (note: references should be enclosed
in a parenthesis)

7
Conceptual Framework

- It is the figure 1 of the study: Conceptual Paradigm of the Study

- It illustrates the dependent and independent variables of the study
which will be presented using boxes and arrows

Hypothesis
- It contains the tentative answers to the problem
- Each of the questions in the statement of the problem should have a
corresponding Hypothesis

Definition of Terms
- It operationally defines all the important terminologies mentioned on this
paper
- There should be at least ten (10) terms operationally defined in a bullet
form

8
METHODOLOGY

Materials

list down all the materials used in this study in a paragraph form with
-
an opening statement
The materials that were used in this study were: (cite all the materials used.)

Collection

- specify the location were you’ve collected the important specimen in the
study and the exact amount that you’ve used in a paragraph form
A pack of mongo seeds was collected from Public Market, Davao City.
Only fifteen (15) of these were used in the experiment.

Procedure

- specify the steps or procedure of the experiment

9
RESULTS AND DISCUSSIONS

- Make an opening statement of the chapter in a paragraph form . Example:

The measurements that were recorded from the experiment focused

more on how the seeds developed over the course of the experiment.

CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Conclusions

Based from the data gathered, the researchers conclude that the water
exposed to 25 degrees was the most effective amongst the three
temperatures of water. Furthermore, it was also concluded that
