It means due to excessive heat, splashing water when body is

sweating/ tired / warm, watching distant objects continuously,
regularly sleeping during day time and remaining awake at night,
excessive sweating, eyes exposure to dust, smoke, etc., excessive
vomiting or controlling vomiting, drinking kanji (Fermented sour
drink) of tubers or grains, excessive consumption of horse grams.

or black grams, controlling stool, urine or fart, crying continuously

sudden grief and shock, head injury, riding high speed vehicle,
routine not as per season, due to lust, anger, excessive sexual act,
controlling tears or watching very small objects for prolong
period, the three doshas Vata, Pitta and Kapha present in eyes get
imbalanced and cause eye disorders.
 Houses to be considered in the horoscope for the analysis of eye
disorders –
The second and the twelfth house in the
horoscope indicate the of the eyes related points.
Therefore, in order to analyze eye-related
problems, it is necessary to analyze the second
and twelfth houses of the horoscope. Apart from
this, the sixth and eighth houses are considered in
the context of disease. Ascendant reflects the
overall physical condition of the person. In this
way, by analyzing the second twelfth, sixth, eighth
and ascendant houses and their owner planets in
horoscope, the eye-related problem of the
concerned person can be known.
To analyze eye related disorders, some important points are
as follows –

• The causative planets of the eye-sense are the Sun and the
Moon.
• Right eye is analysed from second house and left eye from
twelfth house.
• 6, 8,12 houses are related to diseases and physical disorders.
• Water related signs like Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces are not
considered good for eyes.
Impact of planetary range in horoscope
All the planets from Sun to Ketu, have complete 180 range of vision from their home location
in the horoscope. This means starting from home location and up to seventh house each plane
has full visibility. Apart from this, Mars also has visibility of the fourth and eighth house,
Jupiter has fifth and ninth house and Saturn has third and tenth house in their sight.

1. If the lord of the second house is with Venus then there is a possibility of eye-related diseas

• If a person has Aries ascendant in his birth chart

Whatever may be zodiac sign in the Ascendant but if Sun and
Venus are together in the Ascendant or second house then the
person is likely to suffer from eye disorder.

3. If the Sun and the Moon are together in the second house
in
the horoscope then there is a possibility of night
blindness.

 4. If the lord of the ascendant and the lord of the second house
are with the Sun then the person could be blind from birth.

5. If the Sun is in the second or twelfth house in the horoscope of any
ascendant then there is a possibility of eye-related disorders.

house in the horoscope then there is a possibility of eye disease.

7. If the Moon and the Sun are in the twelfth or second house of the
horoscope and these are aspected by Mars and Saturn then there
are eye related diseases.

horoscope then too there is a possibility of eye disorder.

 9. If in a horoscope, the lord of the sixth house is situated in the sign of a
retrograde planet then the person suffers from eye-related diseases.
For example, if someone is born in (Bhaarateeya jyotisha, p.-268)

✓ Similarly, in the horoscopes of Gemini, Scorpio and Capricorn ascendant, Scorpio, Aries and
Gemini will be in the sixth house respectively. In such horoscope, the position of the lords of the
ascendant and the eighth house and the aspect of Mars and Mercury should be considered.
11. If Venus is in the either 6th or 8th house of the horoscope then there is a possibility
of disease in the right eye of the concerned person.

12. If the lord of the second house is aspected by an auspicious planet and the lord
of the ascendant is conjoined with the malefic planet then the person is likely to
suffer from eye-related diseases.

14. If the Sun is situated in the fifth or ninth house in the birth chart and is being
aspected by any malefic planet, i.e., Mars, Saturn, Rahu or Ketu then there is
a possibility of eye problems to the concerned person.

15. If Venus conjoined with Moon is situated in the either sixth, eighth or twelfth
house then the person is prone to night blindness.

both of them then there is a disorder in one eye of the person concerned.

17. If the Moon is situated in the seventh house and Leo sign in the horoscope and
is aspected by Mars then the person has vision disorder in one of the eyes.

18. If at the time of the birth of a person, the Sun is in Cancer and it is in the
seventh house of the horoscope and is aspected by Mars then there is a
possibility of problem in one of the eyes of the person concerned.

19. If Moon and Venus are together in the seventh or twelfth house of the
horoscope then there is a possibility of disorder in the left eye of the person.

of injury in the left eye of the person concerned. Similarly if Saturn is in the
second house of the horoscope then there is a possibility of injury in the right

sixth, eighth or twelfth house then the eye-sight of the person concerned is likely to be
weak.

22. If the birth chart of the Leo ascendant, Sun and Moon are situated in the
Ascendant and Saturn is aspected on them then there is possibility of loss of
eyesight vision of the concerned person.

23. If the lord of the ascendant, Sun and Venus are together in either the sixth, eighth
or twelfth house in the horoscope or if the lord planets of the second and twelfth house
are together with Sun and Venus in the either sixth, eighth or twelfth house then the
person concerned has eye problems since birth, often the person is born blind.

According to the second circumstance
24. If the Moon and Mars are together in either the sixth, eighth or twelfth house
then there is a possibility of loss of eyesight of concerned person either due to fall
or accident.

25. If in the horoscope of any ascendant, the conjunction of Jupiter and Moon is in
either the 6th, 8th or twelfth house then there is possibility of loss of eyesight at the
age of thirty years.

26. If the Sun and the Moon are together in either the first, third, fourth, seventh or
tenth house in the horoscope or if Mars is in the sign of the malefic planet in either the
first, fourth, seventh or tenth house of the horoscope then the person's loss of eyesight
may be caused by some disease.
For example, the horoscope given here has Leo (Bhaarateeya Jyotisha, p.-269)

28. If the Sun is in Capricorn or Aquarius in the seventh house of the horoscope
or if all the auspicious planets are only in the sixth, eighth and twelfth house and
they are aspected by malefic planets then the person's eyesight would be weak.

Jupiter in the eighth house; Mars situated in the fifth house is
aspecting the Moon situated in the twelfth house; Saturn
situated in the ninth house is aspecting Mercury and Venus
situated in the sixth house. If such a situation occurs in any
horoscope then it should be understood that the eyesight of
the concerned person would be weak.
29. If there are malefic planets in the 4th and 5th house in the birth chart or the
Moon is in the 6th, 8th or twelfth house and it is aspected by the malefic planets
then the person loses eyesight in one of the eyes after the age of twenty-five years.

vision in the middle age.

31. If in a horoscope, Saturn, Moon and Sun are situated in the twelfth, second and
eighth house respectively then the eyesight of the person concerned is likely to be
weak.

32. If the Moon is in the sixth house, the Sun is in the eighth house and Mars is in
the twelfth house then Vata and Kapha related disorders arise in the eyes of the
person concerned, due to which the eyesight of the person gets weakened.

दोषकृतन च सवयत्रवात स्वोच्चस्वक्षायभद ो िवेत् ।

षडाभदत्रवातयनाथैश्च सम्बतधी दोषकृच्छुिाः ।। (ब.ृ पा.हो.शा.-15/16)
In those planetary conditions mentioned earlier, if the
planets concerned are in their own zodiac or in their
exalted sign, then there is not much trouble. But if
those planets indicating eye disorders are making a
relationship with the lord planets of 6th, 7th, or 8th
houses then the possibility of disease-related
problems increases.
This horoscope is of a person, who has pain in both
eyes since childhood and has weak eyesight. On the
advice of doctors, to mitigate pain and maintain vision,
he wears glasses since childhood.
