SAM:

 It is a default database of all windows Operating system which stores username and
password.
 It is a local database

Location: C:\Windows\System32\Config\SAM

Try to login C7 by using c6 Username and password (i.e. User1 and Password: Login$123).
User would not be able to login the server.

Type “mstsc” and type 10.0.0.7


Type Username of and password of C6.

Now you are getting an error message “The Login attempt failed”.

Now you have understood about SAM database.


Because SAM database is local database stored on C7 does not have login credentials of
another SAM database of C6. Hence, user would not be able to login to server.
