Primary Language Curriculum

Our teaching staff follow the Primary


Language Curriculum which places emphasis
on the importance of developing children’s
oral language and literacy skills when they are
learning a language. Our core languages are
English and Irish, over the coming years we
hope to engage to introduce a third modern
language.
Children are supported in making progress in
oral language, reading and writing at a level
and pace suited to them. Linkages are
developed in the teaching and learning of the second and subsequent languages.
