For many years, people have been labelled as either an introvert or an extrovert.
Introverts are known to be shy and anti social while extroverts as outgoing and social
butterflies. However many people fall in between these two categories.
Good day to my teachers and classmates
Today I'm going to be speaking about the often unknown, the forgotten, the ignored,
the hybrid of introverts and extroverts... the ambivert. Ambiverts are people who have
qualities of both introverts and extroverts making them versatile which means they are
able to adapt to many different situations. Ambiverts are often misunderstood or
overlooked but their unique qualities make them interesting yet confusing people.
If you are like me and struggle to make a choice or take on too much at a time,
chances are you might be an ambivert. Everything seems interesting and you want to
learn and do things all at the same time . Ambiverts are all about balance but this
balancing can be exhausting . If you are an ambivert, you will love your ‘me time’ just
as much as socialising.
Many ambiverts may seem quiet and calm when you first meet them but after some
time passes, they will never the quiet and calm again. Another great thing about
ambiverts is that they are amazing listeners and talkers. They love it all, the small talk,
the deep convos and the silly stuff. Ambiverts love interactingwbut having too many
conversations can drain their energy.
A major confusing fact about ambiverts is their persona. Not only do you never know
what they might do next, you also don't know how they will behave around certain
people. Ambiverts have a different persona depending on where they are and who they
are with. For example, if they are with their close friend, they can be the person who
they truly are. Another thing is that you can expect ambiverts to spend the whole day
with you. They have curfews, not curfews their parents set for them, curfews they set
for themselves. Yes, they can be absolutely fun but they also want to be left alone at
the end of the day.
In conclusion, ambiverts are a unique and complicated group of people. They are both
introverts and extroverts, like socialising but need to be alone, act different around
different people and make the make best of listeners.
