exposue of chemical due to the low quality foam are used in the manufacturing the mattress. This will
create a negative impact on the repuutation and also demotive the staff
Recommedation : The company should cease to use the low quality foam in the manfaturing of
mattress and all the remaining of raw material should be return to the supplier and the effected
employee from the exposed should be given proper medical check up
Quality of Raw Material
Issue: The company issues raises due to the low quality of material used in the manufacturing of
mattreess. this damage the reputation of PSS in the market. the company might face the customer
dissatifcation issues. which will financial loss to the company
Recommendation: The PSS should cease to use low quality material in the manfacutring process. and
PSS should appoint the quality control officer which should the check the quality of the material on the
arrival. PSS should communicate to all the supplier about the quality of raw material required and if it
does not met the required quality of PSS then dissciplinary action will be taken.The PSS should also
have a internal audit on frequently basis to check the quality of raw material
Lack of Innovation
Issue: Staff member are also highlighted the point that PSS is not involove the innovation of mattreess
as there competitors. as competitor is already manufacturing the smart bed mattrreess. if PSS is not
able to innvoated its mattreess as the compettor it might lead to losing of its customer or market share
Recommendation: PSS should continue to focus on the customer demand and also should have a
interest on the latest development made by the competitor. PSS should focus on the new ideas which
will met the demand of customer and also increase the market share
Maximum Capcity
Issue: The Operation director highlighted the point that company is operated at 100% capcity in all
four manufacturing plants. the maximum capcity utilize might decrease the morale of the employees.
as a result they might leave the company and join the competitors
Recommedation : PSS should made any investment in the recuritment of new employees. In additon
PSS should also invest in the new plant as company is also receiving a contract from Zeeland Health
care which need to be complete on time
Employees Review
Issue: some staff member has write some review about the mattress on PSS website. which will
improved the rating. This is an unethical activity which might increase the demand
Recommendation: the staff member who are also a customer of PSS should be encouraged to post a
review on the website but it should be unbaised. In addition PSS should encourage the customer to
post review against the mattreess on the website

programme can support PSS’s values, together with the challenges PSS may face with such a

that staff are not acceptance the change in the orgainzation sturcture and culture as we operate from
100 year, some staff are senior and old which might not able to acceptance these changes in the
sturcture annd culture in the orgainzation.It will result that PSS might loss their quality staff due to this
changes
