THE HISTORY OF AEBR
AEBR is a Based Faith Organization which was created in 1964 from DRC. It was
officially recognized by the Government of Rwanda under Ministerial Order No 54/01
Justice of May 29 , 1967 and Minist, Order No 98/11 0f 31 July 2008 with Rwanda

Governance Board (RGB) Reference of Ref 244/RGB/2019. AEBR enrolls over 58,000
Active Members Christians and operates with over the whole country. It is committed to
Integral Mission as described in James 2.
It is active in community-based projects where it delivers different community
development programs through local churches in several communities in Rwanda in
order to address the needs of people and looking for together the sustainable solutions.
AEBR has 216 local churches Organized and 136 Chapels, 41 schools (Secondary and
Primary), 2 Health Centers, 5 Bible Schools and 11 Literacy Schools. It locates in Kigali
near of MINAGRI.
In carrying out its heavy mission, AEBR has been collaborating with different partners
from USA, CANADA, EUROPE and Africa.
The churches which belong to the AEBR believe in the Holy Scriptures both Old and
New Testaments in Holy Trinity: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
The nature of Human being created in the image of God without sin and the fall after
disobeying the divine law, became a sinner in the eyes of God and Salvation found only
in Jesus-Christ.
Since its creation, AEBR has been very active in evangelization to fulfil the great
commission given by the Lord Jesus Christ to his church.
Mission, Vision and Values
A. Vision
From 2013 to 2023, we are an Association of Baptist Churches of men and women who
are strong, equipped and ready to face and respond to the multiples challenges we are
encountering.
B. Mission
Preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ for the total salvation of a man for all his liberation and
promote the socio-economic development. This also implies to bring people to Christ,
strengthen them in faith, teaching them the doctrine of Christian life, train them and send
them around the world in order to serve spiritually and physically, becoming the good
manager of the environment, preaching the Good News of God’s Kingdom and his
justice, to all men and helping them to prepare the way of Jesus till his return

Stability and order, sharing, good example and mutual respect, humble leaders, communion,
integrity, love without discrimination, fidelity and hard working.
AEBR Organizational Structure
According to the Manuel de Procedure of AEBR, the AEBR organizational structure is
presented as follows:
A. General Assembly
AEBR Constitution defines the roles of the General Assembly. It is the supreme organ of
the Church which is charged with devising, planning, deciding and advising on the
general policies of the Church in matters of Evangelism and socio-development.
B. Executive Committee
AEBR Constitution defines the functions of the Executive Committee. It is the body
emanating from the General Assembly, which is responsible for monitoring the
implementation of decisions, recommendations and resolutions of the General Assembly.
C. Legal Representation
AEBR Constitution defines the responsibilities of the Legal Representative, he is
responsible for coordinating, organizing, directing, forecasting, and controlling the
various activities of AEBR.
He is responsible for the Association and represents it inside and outside of the country.
