Three big themes in geography:
1. Change: Actions done by humans or naturally.
2. Impact: Having impact which can be better or worse.
3. Inequality: When wealth and opportunity is not fairly
shared.

1. Maps: Drawings of places as if from above.
2. Compass: Tells you direction.
3. Photographs (which can be divide into photos and aerial
photos).
A. Photos: A great way to explore a place.
B. Aerial Photos: Photos taken from the air.
4. Satellite images: An image captured by one of the
observations satellite that orbit Earth.
5. Goggle Earth: A program that you download from the
internet and shows maps, satellite images, photos, and 3D
images.

6. GIS: Geographic information system, used to display and


analyse data.

-Gorge: A narrow valley with steep slides.
-Natural resources a resource such as water, oil, soil, or
sunshine, which occurs in nature and in which we can make
use of.
-Five natural resources found in lronbrige gorge are coal,
limestone, iron ore, different clays, wood, and river.
-Wood used for building and fuel.
-River used for transportation.
-Coal used for fuel
-Limestone used for building
-Clays used for making pottery and clay pipes.
-In 1709 Abraham Darby found a way to extract iron using
Coke from coal instead of charcoal.
-In 1781 a cast of Iron Bridge was opened across a river by
Abraham Darby 3
-The steep slopes of the gorge meant it was not easy to
access the area, or industries and towns to grow.
