IO Upgrade Path – Room Pool Features
1 Overview
Use this process to clean up your property’s room pool information in MarRFP. Ensuring room pool
information is accurately defined is critical to receiving accurate recommendations.
2 Process
1. Access MarRFP.
2. Select Room/Rate Description.
3. Select your hotel (if not already selected).
Use the next several steps to update each Room Pool listed.
4. Select “View” to edit the room pool.
5. Click Next until you see Room Pool Description: Hotel - Room Pool Definition - Beds & Bedding.
a) Confirm Maximum Room Occupancy field is accurate.
b) Confirm “Yes”, “No” or “Some” is accurate for each Bed Type and each Bedroom.
• Select “Yes” if that is the only Bed Type in that Bedroom for that Room Pool. This is a Bed
Type Room Pool.
• Select “No” if the Bed Type does not exist in that Room Pool.
• Select “Some” if some rooms in the Room Pool have that type of bed and others do not.
This is a Blended Room Pool or a “No Preference Run-of-House” Room Pool.
- At least two bed types should be defined, when using this option.
c) For each bed type that has “Some” or “Yes” selected, confirm the number of beds is defined in
the Bed Attributes field. “No Preferred Bed Type, Room Assigned at Check-In” Room Pools will
have a zero (0).

6. Scroll down to the Add on Amenities Section.
a) Verify Total Cribs & Rollaways Allowed is correct.
• The number should reflect the maximum number of Cribs & Rollaways permitted in
the room. In this example, 1 rollaway and 1 crib are allowed, but the Total Cribs &
Rollaways Allowed is 1. This shows the guest may have one or the other, but not both.
• Enter “0” only if the No. of Rollaway Beds Allowed and the No. Of Cribs Allowed is zero.

2 Examples
Blended Room Pool
Blended room pools display data in multiple fields. For example, a blended GENR room pool
(1 king or 2 doubles) would show a “1” in the ‘King’ field and a “2” in the ‘Double’ field.

Room Pool with 2+ Bedrooms
Rooms with two or more separate bedrooms with the same or different bed types will display
a total number in the applicable bedding definition. For example, a suite with one king in one
bedroom and one queen in another bedroom would display as 1 King and 1 Queen for the
Suite room pool.
