SOME CONCEPTS IN CRYPTOGRAPHY
Plaintext:
In cryptography, plaintext is the original, readable version of a
message before it is encrypted into ciphertext. The plaintext is
used in the unencrypted data as either an input for the
encryption process or an output for the decryption process. It
refers to everything that a human may understand with their
bare eyes.
Ciphertext:
The encoded text is called the ciphertext. It is an
unreadable output. It is the result of encrypting plaintext
using a cipher, which is a set of algorithms that transforms
data into an unrecognizable form. Ciphertext is also known as
encrypted or encoded information.
