AGE ESTIMATION BY OSSIFICATION
Sanjay Christopher, S/O Mr. David Raj, a resident of 42, Nehru Street,
Maraimalai Nagar was working as on office boy in a business man’s office
owned by Mr. Rajan at Guduvancherry. Yesterday at 12 noon, the
neighbour of this office Mr. Thulasiraman noticed Sanjay Christopher
unloading some cables from the van at his office. He informed the child
help line. The child help line authorities came to the spot and rescued
Sanjay and produced him to Judicial Magistrate, Chengalpet. The
Magistrate referred the boy to the Department of Forensic Medicine, SRM
Medical College, Potheri to assess his age by physical, radiological &
dental examination.
Sanjay Christopher was brought by HC No: 700, Mr. Rahman of
Guduvancherry Police station today with requisition letter No: 613/2022 to
the Professor, Department of Forensic Medicine, SRM Medical College
Hospital
Examination commenced in the department of Forensic Medicine,
SRM Medical College at 10.10 am and following were the findings.
General examination:
Moderately nourished male
Identification marks:
1. A Black mole on the right ear lobe
2. A Black mole on the right side of forehead
Physical findings:
Height – 138cm
Weight – 48kg
Chest Circumference 68 cm
64cm
Abdominal Circumference – 52cm
Hair:
Scalp – 5cms, black
Pubic – Dowry hair around the root of penis
Axillary – No hair growth

AGE ESTIMATION BY OSSIFICATION
R.M. Karthik S/O Mr. Ramalingam, residing at 44, Government Head
Quarters guest house, Adyar, Chennai was brought today to the
Department of Forensic Medicine, SRM Medical College Hospital, Potheri
by one Mr.Murali with requisition from The Secretary , Tamil Nadu Cricket
Club with A.A no.20/2022 regarding assessment of the age of R.M.
Karthick by Radiological examination.
As per history, R.M. Karthick, had come to Chennai to participate in
the under 14 Cricket tournament to be held at Maraimalai Nagar stadium.
When both the teams were practicing at the stadium, the coach of the
opposite team Mr. Rahul had a heated argument with Karthick’s team
coach Mr. Sam about Karthick’s age, as he appeared 14 years. Mr. Sam
denied that the age of Karthick was above 14 years. Mr.Rahul, then
complained to the Cricket board authorities. Subsequently R.M. Karthick
was taken to The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Cricket Club, who had requested
that the age of the boy be ascertained by Radiological examination by the
Professor, Department of Forensic Medicine, SRM Medical College
Hospital, Potheri.

AGE ESTIMATION BY OSSIFICATION
Mr. Sivakumar, S/O Mr. Rama Rao, 44. Gandhi street, Maraimalai
Nagar was brought to the Judicial Magistrate, Chengalpat by the Inspetor
of Tambaram Police Station regarding assessment of age of Sivakumar
today at 3pm.
As per history,R.Sivakami, D/O Mr. Ramu, No: 40, Gandhi street,
Maraimalai Nagar had an affair with Sivakumar for 2 years and had
confided this fact to her parents. A few days back, with her parents
approval, Sivakumar and Sivakami were married in Murugan temple at
Tambaram and were living happily together for few days. Mr. Rama Rao, a
business man and father of Sivakumar threatened Sivakami & her parents
regarding his son’s marriage. Rama rao subsequently, lodged a complaint
to the Inspector of Tambaram Police Station, that, Sivakumar is a minor
and is age is less than 18 years. He added that, Sivakumar was abducted
by Sivakami’s parents, and because of greed for their money he got both
of them married without his son’s consent.
The Judicial Magistrate had sent a requisition to the professor of
Forensic Medicine, SRM Medical College, Potheri, with requisition letter
No: 724/2022 to assess the age of the individual and to issue an age
certificate.
Examination commenced on at 3.10 pm at the department of
Forensic Medicine, SRM Medical College, Potheri and the following are the
findings.

1. A Black mole on the front of right side of neck
2. A Black mole on the front of right side of chest

Weight – 54kg
Breadth – 38cm

Pubic – Black, 3cm around root of penis and sides of scrotum
Axilla – Black, 2cm
Mustache – downy hairs with few dark hairs
Beard – Few dark hairs over chin with downy hair
