Bismillahirrahmanirrahim

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

Good morning everyone. Praise to Allah SWT, to the only one GOD that give us mercy and bless in
our daily life.

Sholawat and gratitude may always be abundant to our Great Prophet Muhammad SAW, who
brought us from the darkness to the light which is ISLAM.

First of all, I would like to convey my gratitude to the honourable judges and team who give me a
chance to stand in front of you all, for one reason, which is delivering my speech.

Ladies and gentlemen,

“Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one’s definition
of your life, but define yourself.” ~ quote from Harvey S. Firestone

So, have you ever been called FAT?

Have you ever been called ugly?

Have you ever been called poor or even being physically hurt? Punched, kicked, slapped, grabbed
and etc.

And the last part, have you ever cried yourself to sleep every night just because you don’t want to go
to school the next day?

So, allow me ADELIA DINATA from SD Muhammadiyah 1 Samarinda to get deeper into my point of
view of Bullying.

Ladies and gentlemen, From the previous illustration, what do you know about bullying?

Punching, kicking, verbally hurt?

YES…Bullying is an act of intimidating, forcing, suppressing or even harassing someone who is

considered weaker. Bullying can happen to anyone, even in adults.

Recently, have you heard sad news about the lost in Indonesian medical world just because of
BULLYING. It has covered us through professional education. How come?

Ladies and gentlemen,

“BULLYING IS A CRIME”. Bullying is a worldwide problem that occurs around us every day and
everywhere but it’s mostly in school. BULLYING is when a person or group repeatedly tries to harm
someone physically or emotionally. Victims can also be anybody male or female and can be any age.

Furthermore, there are some types of bullying. First, PHYSICAL BULLYING it is seen as the most
important to stop because it is dangerous to our health. this involves hurting a person’s body or
possessions, includes punching, pushing, shoving, kicking, slapping, tickling and other actions that
can hurt physically.

Next, VERBAL BULLYING is harassing with the use of word that hurt you emotionally. Name calling,
saying hurtful words are some examples. It could be about person’s appearance, personality and
disability.
Other, the CYBERBULLYING. People have been bullying over the internet on social media sites such
as Facebook and even twitter. Sending hurtful messages, embarrassing photos or videos and by
posting on social media are examples of cyberbullying.

This is the worst type of bullying because we can’t take it back again.

So, always follow this saying “THINK BEFORE YOU CLICK” so that we can’t hurt others.

Lastly, Social Bullying — This happens when person ruin the reputation of another person or
humiliate them. They do that by spreading rumours, playing nasty jokes, or encouraging others to
exclude them.

So, how we discover to prevent bullying? Here are some ways:

a. Create a positive school by positive social behaviour

b. Raise Awareness of Bullying in Schools and at Home
Last but not least
c. Enforce a No-Tolerance Bullying Policy

Ladies and gentlemen,

Bullying has a major impact on the victims’ lives. Some victims commit suicide and choose not to go
in school rather than to experience bullying. Some victims suffer from depression and stress.

Don’t be afraid, speak up and prove they wrong. Show them that you strong and you’re not scared of
them. Always remember that we have equal rights. Don’t let them belittled you. We are beautiful
and unique in our own way. Nobody’s perfect.

In conclusion, I think bullying is a very serious problem and I think it can be stopped all together.
Because nothing good comes out of bullying.

Thank you for listening. Adelia Dinata signs off, wassalamualaikum wr wb
