This is where you write your introduction of your topic. This should be about 1 paragraph. Lorem

Address ONE Of the Following Questions

Option 1: Chapter 3 / The Social Self: Identify four ways that people strive for self-enhancement

(i.e., positive illusions), and discuss the implications of self-enhancement for mental health and the

perception of reality. Discuss the debate regarding whether or not such self-enhancement is adaptive.

Option 2: Chapter 4 / Perceiving Persons: Explain how people’s implicit personality theories

affect their impressions of other people. Describe the effects of central traits and the primacy effect on

these impressions. Identify two explanations for the primacy effect.

Option 3: Chapter 5 / Stereotypes, Prejudice, and Discrimination: Identify factors that can

impact whether stereotypes influence social judgment. Discuss the question of whether stereotyping is

automatic or intentional and consider the implications of this issue for real-world events.
